25 Years for Newport Arch Restaurant

Owner Wai, who gave up his beloved career teaching in windsurfing in Pembrokshire, took over the management of the restaurant last year. He says "I was amazed when i realised how long the restaurant had been running. It has always been run by my family and has always been a favourite uphill place to eat, so i suppose i shouldn't be supprised at how long we have been going".

Typical dishes surved t Newport Arch are starters, Crispy Aromatic Duck, and Chef's assorted platter, while mains include Deep Fried Crispy Scallops, Spicy Sredded Beef and Szechuan King Prawns. So why not give the sweet and sour a miss and try some on the more unusual dishes on the extensive menu.

Last year Wai gave the restaurant a makeover to give a more contemporary lookand although the interior is more modern a lighter than it used to be it still remains a cosiness other places struggle to match.

To mark the 25 years Wai has introduced a free meal voucher for people celebrating a birthday and is currently taking bookings for Christmas. Lunchtime specials are only
